July 22, 20215 yr The legendary Florida State Coach announced that he has a terminal illness and is "At Peace." Coach Bowden was one of the best and had a reputation, especially early during the program building years, of playing anyone at any place. Prayers for continued peace and comfort.
July 23, 20215 yr Hate to hear it....buy you're right, JD, at 91 years old, you've can't help but respect someone who says, "I'm at peace with this being the end." Definitely praying for continued peace and comfort up through the end of it. As a lifelong Notre Dame Football fan, I always loathe Florida State. But it's about impossible not to respect everything about Bobby Bowden.
July 23, 20215 yr When I think of Bobby Bowden, I also think of Jerry Reed who played Coach Red Beaulieu in "The Waterboy".
