Duke basketball...

I was telling a friend of mine earlier today, that this season, is going to set me up for the biggest in disappointments....Duke is #6 in the country and there is no way that there is a more overrated team in the country....Duke is still struggling to find its identity...the one thing that I do think will happen, is Josh McRoberts ending up a first team All American.... here's to another year withouth the Final Four.

Duke will likely be a two, or three seed...the Sweet 16 should be safe.

I watched that game last night against Kent State and they looked a little lost out there. That was a terrible no call last night when that guy pushed the Duke player down and then rolled over him. I thought Paulis looked good and you can tell they are young but maybe come Marched they will have gelled together and will do great. I think they said this is the youngest team coach K has had at Duke.

I want to know how they got a national TV game against Kent State??? Seems like they do have an unfair recruiting edge.

I agree they are very overrated but they will be fine come tourny time i dont think they will go to the FF but they will compete. They have the talent they are just young.

Serious question for any Duke fans (basically that's you RP), when was the last time Duke played a legit team on the road OOC??

^ You're likely right, but their demand is what brings the TV coverage...take me, for example I watch, and record every televised game in the Louisville market, (which for the last 5-6 years, has been all but 2-3 games), I am sure there are many, MANY people just like me. In the last 3 seasons, I have missed 2 games, either in person, or on TV. That's awesome considering how far I live from the triangle.

Being such a Duke fan, and a huge JJ fan, this year, is so weird for me, because the Devils aren't very good, and JJ is laying an EGG so far.

Georgetown last season, and Texas, were on the road...GU won, Duke won the other...

 

This Gonzaga game is technically a road game...but is more neutral than anything else....for those that care, I think this is a big problem with Duke's success lately, they need some more serious ROAD exposure to get ready for March (now, this is only my opinion), how can you argue with a coach that has been to the Final Four almost 50% of his career?

I don't know...many will tell you, JJ is what I was all about for the life of me, in college basketball, I am concerned that he will disappear, I hope not though.
