Did Day 1 of the State Finals live up to the hype?

We have had 2 of the 3 games go to overtime tonight. Do you consider this one of the best opening days of the state finals in a long time?

Very good day of football. Now if tomorrow could just match the excitement. Blowouts happen, but there's nothing like the best two teams of a class battling it out down to the wire (well, past the wire twice today) for the hardware.

I took my son and daughter and one of his teammates down for the 2A and 4A games. I for one hate to see a team lose in one of those games. Watched some awesome football and congratulations to Beechwood and Boyle on there wins. Congratulations to LCA and Franklin for a fight to the end. For a year that almost wasn’t, last night was some of the best football games I’ve watched in person. I’m very thankful for this year to have been played. Very good games!!!

None were overtime games, but last year's Saturday slate was strong. Maybe the best single day ever as far as having all games go down to the wire.
