Big cat battle set for E'town

The Panthers have been quietly prowling the 3A landscape, winning with offense one week, defense another. But always winning. Nine opponents up, nine down, one of which was Bardstown on October 24th. That night, Elizabethtown put the clamps down on a Bardstown offense averaging 54 points per game against everyone not named Elizabethtown, holding the Tigers just six points.

Be mindful, though… Bardstown lost to E'town last year in the regular season with a subdued offensive output before unleashing hell on the Panthers in the playoff rematch.

If its dry, the Tigers will play better than they did last time. 4 turnovers in 1st half unlikely to be repeated. However, I don't think they have the same blue-collar brawlers they had last year in the trenches and ultimately E-Town's 5 senior OL control the game.

I think Etown wins this game. A lot of times you will see the district flip flop in the playoffs but I don’t think that is the case with this game I truly believe Etown is a serious title contender.

I'm going with E-Town 35-14.  I believe they have a very good shot at playing at Kroger Field in December.
