Catholic(4-2) at Apollo(3-3) – Apollo seems to have found its identity when it comes to offense.  They are putting up about 260 rushing yards per game led by Quarterback Damien Lovinski.  Lovinski is putting up 127 yards per game while RB Harold Patterson is running for 119 yards per outing.  Patterson has been nursing an injury all season but looks to be getting healthy at the right time.  They will be facing an Owensboro Catholic defense led by LB Chris Boarman.  Boarman leads the Aces with 83 tackles.  As a unit,  the Aces D is only giving up only 114 rushing yards per game.  This should be a great matchup on both sides.

For Apollo defensively, the question has to be, can they stop Braden Mundy Mundy leads the Owensboro Catholic offense with 336rushing yards, 400 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns. Freshman running back Hunter Monroe  has ran for 479 & 5 touchdowns this season, as well.   Quarterback Lincoln Clancy is putting up about 145 per game in the air.  They will be taking on an Apollo defense giving up 209 rushing yards per game and 140 in the air.

John Edge will be taking on Owensboro Catholic for the first time as Apollo Head Coach.  He did face the Aces twice as the Coach of South Spencer.  He will be taking on his former assistant, Jason Morris, who is 2-0 vs Edge in the last two meetings.  Tonight, however, Edge has a lot more fire power than he did at South Spencer.  This should be a great game.  You can hear the audio stream here : https://www.owensbororadio.com/player/?playerID=606

Apollo always gets up for this game. They showed some fire in the game against DC last week after being punched in the face by a late TD. I think this one goes like the DC game. It’ll be a nail-biter at the end and someone will make a huge defensive stop for the win.

Apollo 35

Catholic 28.

Apollo too much offense.  Catholic is down somewhat on offense IMO.  I look for Apollo to control the game with lovinsky and Hogg.
