Rose Hill shot terrible from free throw line , I would expect better than 50% from a D1 signee.

Kind of surprised by this score. Looks like Russell might be the favorite at this point with Rowan, Rose Hill, and West Carter right there.

We carried this game, it was very exciting.

Some stats -- Queen 30 points -- Terry 13 -- Faulkner 14 -- Gambill -- 4

Webb 18 --K Burchett 14 -- Stevens 13 -- Tackett 13 -- Shelton 8 -- Wease 4

West was without Charla Burchett, Sydnie Cox and Julie Day.

Coach Euton said in the pre-game that Terry was ill all day.

Don't forget about Raceland & East Carter...

Yep, that would be my top 6.

It's my understanding Terry was playing w/ the flu and couldn't keep anything down. Courageous effort. She still played the entire game. I wouldn't be so quick to judge the D-1 recruit. We've all seen her play many games where she was the dominant player on the floor. Any one could have an off night, especially when they're sick.

Queen was sick too?

RHCS stats:

Queen: 30 pts, on 12/21 shooting (1/4 3ptrs), 5/10 free throws, 10 rebs, 8 steals, 1 blk

Terry: 13 pts, on 5/10 shooting (2/6 3ptrs), 1/2 free throws, 8 rebs, 2 steals, 2 asts, 2 blks

Faulkner: 14 pts, on 5 /13 shooting (0 3ptrs), 4/7 free throws, 7 rebs, 5 steals, 4 asts

Gambill: 4 pts, on 1/2 shooting (1/2 3ptrs), 1/2 free throws, 1 reb

It should be noted that the figures above represent jump shots on the part of RHCS's two big girls. Likewise their rebounds (only 5 offensive boards). Queen and Terry were kept outside....and I mean outside the perimeter...all night long. Queen received an entry pass on one trip down the floor when she was on the low block...the only time she was there, as the Lady Royals ran a weave uptop, beyond the arc, the entire game. Terry, the best inside finisher in the 16th Region...with or without contact... did not get the ball once in the low post. Go figure.

Queen 5 of 10 from the charity stripe

Terry 1 of 2

Faulkner 4 of 8

Gambill 1 of 2

My bad...Queen was 5/10 from the stripe. Thanks.

Thats right, where are you getting your sources? Emily Queens Dad.

The stats Himmelfarb posted Faulkners stats dont even equal 14 points it equals 12.

I'd say a decent effort for having played 32 minutes at her pace...and with the physical pounding she took all night.

I agree. Some people just look for anything to be critical of.

Actually, I got them from Emily Queen's mother...Rose Hill's statistician for the past 4 years. The mistake was mine and I've made the necessary corrections in the previous post.

Sounds like Queen must have turned down The Walrus' invitation for a date....and he's still sulking about it.
