What a talented group. Congrats ladies!

I love seeing Lockard on the first team. I think she is one of the most underrated players in the area.

I’m not sure I agree. I feel like Lockard is one of NKy’s best and the list above prove that she’s not underrated. Unless you’re saying she should be even higher?

I suppose Whitney Lind is where she belongs, and I realize her best basketball is in front of her, but man, is she good! The future is VERY bright for that young lady.

Congrats to all of the young women on all of the teams -- great accomplishment!!

I am just saying I am happy she is getting recognition. In my opinion the 9th has been dominated by Scherr talk (and I understand why), and when I talk to non-Dixie people about Dixie, they bring up Pelfrey.

I understand. Pelfrey is great in her own right for sure but Syd is on a different level.

A little surprised to not see Macie Feldman on any of these list. For me, she is the motor for NDA.

Everybody has their own perspective .... mine is that Highlands was the second best team in the region (beat Conner, NDA, Dixie, played Ryle closer than anyone else) and their leading scorer (Macke), who got face guarded and a lot of attention in every one of those games, out scored everyone from those teams on this list, except for Murphy, head to head. No one gave her or Highlands any credit all year, even after they beat NDA, Conner, Dixie, and Walton and lost to Butler by a point and played with Ryle the entire game. Objectively I say she belongs on the first team. My perspective.

Sorry, who is Highlands' leading scorer? Macke?

Yep. In head to head games against the top 4 opponents, she outscored Scherr, Crittendon, Lockard, Drummonds, Pelphrey, equaled Bradshaw, was outscored by Murphy while her team went 3-1 against them. Passes, handles and steals, also.

If we’re talking scoring alone, Lockard has scored 487 pts this season compared to Mackes 379. Both players see the floor well but I also agree that all around Lockard does it all and steps up to win big games. However, all of the players listed are great!
