Beechwood 69 St. Henry 58

Featured Replies

Crew looked tired defensively and did not look effective on offense. Probably worst effort of the year. Hopefully it was just an off night heading into Districts. They have had a great year so far...maybe this will be a wake up call for them.

If you read my prediction post in the early thread this week, I saw this win coming. In spite of Beechwood's loss to CovCath, I think they realized that if they played team ball they could beat the better teams in the region. Boy, what a difference from the All A Championship game. Beechwood had 8 players score...30-54 FG.....38 rebounds...Draud with 17, Decker with 15 and was 7 for 7 from the field...Mitchell Riley with 12 pts, Cole Busald with 9....When you have four players hitting and the others rebounding and assisting.....you win. This team can win as long as they continue to play team ball. St. Henry is a very good team, hat's off to Goetz and his staff for having the kids believe.

Well done by the Tigers. Looks like Beechwood is figuring things out. A couple more big tests coming up to see if the formula can be repeated.

Very good win for Beechwood. Decker is becoming another offensive threat for the Tigers.

Was really impressed by Beechwood. Like @Voice of Reason said looks like they're figuring things out.

Their length bothered St. Henry all night, and the Tigers did a good job with having their big boys own the rim. The Cru really couldn't get into their proper winning ways flow. They played catch up the whole game, and while I thought they might pull it together to make a game of it, every time they pulled withing 5-7 points the Tigers would nail a couple of 3's keeping the game out of reach.

I still have faith in the Crusaders to make an impact in the post season, but I'm happy to see that Beechwood is finally becoming the force that we thought they might be when the season began.

Not shocked the Cru lost. They are very tough but Decker being a factor will help Beechwood down the final stretch.
