Both teams did excellent jobs of getting back on defense, giving the game the feel of a "controlled scrimmage" where each team got a set number of chances to play against the other's half court defense.

 

Brossart led early 24-14 only to have tha Panthers overtake the visitors at 30-29, mid third period, which ended knotted at 35s.

 

The two teams managed 9 apiece in the fourth quarter with Augusta's Kason Hinson hitting the equalizer, sending the game to overtime.

 

Our normally hot-shooting Mustangs could manage only 4 of 15 from beyond the arc, and 10 of 18 from the free-throw line. Even with that paltry percentage from the line, the Mustangs owned a 7 point edge from the stripe.

 

Our guys will attempt to play our way back into top form with two more games this week (Pendleton on Weds and NCC on Friday), and three games each over the following two weeks.
