How many fans does Anderson Gym seat? It’s been packed two consecutive nights.

Not sure , I'm guessing maybe 1200 will put it on here tomorrow. Largest crowd last nite since oj mayo was at rose hill. I know boyd used to say that they had a certain # and dicky had them counted

I think the fire marshall has it capped off at 1700, it's not a large gym. Last night there were people standing in the lobby trying to watch through the doors due to no open seats. I could't make tonight's game but I imagine it was much of the same.

Boyd and Greenup have the largest gyms in the 16th I believe.

It may be 1700 but I think they lost some seating when they added the chair backs. I think 1200 may be low. I'm pretty sure there was a game suspended 30 or 40 yrs ago due to the same thing

There was one suspended in the early 70's I believe. It was mentioned by Dickie Martin earlier but I forgot the exact year he said.

Likely goes back to the time period that it was built.

Boyd Co. seats close to 5000 and Greenup I think is around 4000.

Knott County Central has the largest gym in our region at 5,000. Perry County Central is next at 4,500.
