The only new team to join the rankings was the Kentucky 5A champs Covington Catholic (Park Hills). They went 15-0 and jumped into the Top 25 after No. 23 Denton Guyer (Texas) lost in the 6A Division 2 championship.

Congrats to the Colonels. Always nice to see Kentucky teams get national recognition.

Good Job Colonels! Well earned.

I used to think it was so cool when Trinity and Highlands would grace these Top 25 National Rankings -- so cool for our small state.
