North started the game hot, running out to an 11-0 lead. They later led by 11 at 31-20 after Dallas Roberts hit his fourth three of the first half.

North led, 35-27, at the break. The Mustangs did not trail at any time in the first half, and held the lead through most of the third.

A deep Nick Spalding three pointer from straight away gave PLD their first lead at 51-49, and the Bulldogs never trailed after that.

North shot over 57% in the first half, but hit barely 34% in the second, including just 1 of 8 from beyond the arc.

Dunbar - who hasn't shot well this year - shot very well in the second half when they took the lead and pulled away.

I may be a little late on this but has anyone heard anything on Powell's injury?

There is no official word yet. He's still talking with doctors and weighing options. Powell has had these groin issues in the past. Coaches hoping to get him back eventually, but operating as if he is done for the year.

Wow, talk about a tough break, best of luck to Mr. Powell.

Looking at Dunbar's body of work thus far it appears that they've been up and down. I wonder if this win is an indication that they are finding themselves?

My answer to that would be no, N. Oldham without Powell is just a middle of the road team, as is Dunbar.

Dunbar had a chance to make a statement against a very good Oldham County team on Friday, but gave up the lead late in the game to lose by 7. Two of Dunbar's 5 wins on the season are against a North Oldham team missing Justin Powell. Dunbar's leading scorer, Tim Hall, missed the last two games with an injury.

Thanks guys...that pretty much answers that.
