Final.

Back and forth game until about the last minute of regulation. If you weren't in Alexandria tonight, you missed a good one.

Carson Schirmer put the Mustangs on his shoulders tonight.

The Brossart Mustangs return the Crosstown Trophy to Brossart High School and improve to 12-10 over the Camels in the long-standing Crosstown series on the merits of a 67-58, come-from-behind victory on Friday night in a near sold-out Campbell County Middle School.

The Camels came to play and opened a 31-24 halftime advantage after leading by as many as 11 late in the second quarter.

The Mustangs clawed away at the deficit, and put a nose in front at 48-47 after three quarters. We then used a combination of transition baskets and free-throws to win the third quarter 19-11 and the game 67-58. For the Mustangs this was our first Crosstown conquest since 2016.

The Mustangs were paced by Ethan Eilerman and Carson Schirmer with 21 points apiece, while Stephen Verst recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. In the contest the Mustangs held an 18-4 edge from the free-throw line. (18-25 vs 4-5).

Eilerman has now amassed 950 points in his career, and is just 50 points shy of achieving the 1,000 Points milestone.

The Camels were led by Jordan Gross and Dane Hegyi with 16 points apiece. Freshman Ayden Hamilton added 12.

Brossart improves to 10-2 on the season, and has now notched nine victories in succession.

They will be on the bus Saturday en-route to Williamstown High School for a 1pm engagement with the host Williamstown Demons in the Arnie Rison Classic Showcase.

.

Good high school basketball game played in front of a packed house in the Campbell County Middle School Gym. The Mustangs came back from a 11 point deficit to win.Carson Schirmer's ability to get to the basket and draw a foul was the key to pulling out the win. Good contributions from a lot of the Mustangs to erase the lead .

Mustangs laying claim to the #3 spot in the 10th.

Wow, Camels have 1 in the pipeline that’s gonna be something...
