Hopefully both teams will get their football players into basketball mode quickly. Somerset's football players had a lot of rust on them tonight.

At one point in the game, it was 53-53 and both team were shooting 50%. That’s how close and good this game was. Plus the JV game went into OT.

Is Smith playing hoops or leaving for WVU?

Was not there tonight and it looks like he is not going to play.

Somerset looked good when the football players were not in the game. Moved the ball well and took an early 8 point lead. When the football players started coming in, the chemistry declined and there was more standing around instead of movement on the court. Missed lay-ups, and free throws added up. Very rusty as one would expect. Once all the excitement from their state victory starts to settle and they get into a basketball mindset, the Jumpers will be just fine. But it may take a few weeks.

I can see were Somerset will be good once the football players get in shape and I agree with you SHS Future that the chemistry was not there with the football playing. Boyle played better than I thought and if they played that good, then when their football player get in basketball shape. They will be better than I expected.
