Both are fantastic.

Date Nut Pudding is a must. My Grandma used to make it and it is the best. Delicious taste with tons of nostalgia for me.

 

I'll include a link to an example of it but I doubt it is the same recipe and I prefer it without the praline pecan sauce. Just the cake (dense and moist) with whip cream. My Grandma made it with the cake broken up into smaller chunks and the whip cream was mixed in so it was a large bowl filled with a mixture of cake and whipped cream. Hits the spot after a huge Thanksgiving meal (or Christmas).

 

Lots of great holiday memories with family associated with this dessert.

Pumpkin pie, zucchini bread, carrot cake... it's the only way I'll eat vegetables.

Pumpkin is a type of squash. Squash is a vegetable. Pies are desserts. Desserts should not be made out of vegetables.

To expand upon this cogent observation. Just how vile does asparagus pie sound?
