Bearcats improve to 9-1 with another walk off Sam Crosa FG to win it.

UC clinches a share of the AAC East title... A win over Temple next week or Memphis in the final week and they are in the conference championship game.

Bearcats looked like crap, have they peaked?

Haven't played well on the road for whatever reason. Des also played hurt, which limited the passing game.

USF is better than their record. ECU took UC and SMU to the wire and USF blew them out two weeks prior.

A win is a win. I'll take it.

On the field goal that put the Bulls up 10-0, the only one they made of the 5 attempted, the ball came over the net and hit my son square in the face. He did not get hurt, I think. He was relatively loaded. We will see in the morning. But it was funny as hell. I said, "Heads up." He said, "Oh " and pow!!

The kid is not up, yet. So we haven't seen his face this morning.

The Bulls played much better than I expected, considering the horrible performance last week against Temple. I had the feeling, though, that the way UC keep pounding Warren II at them something would break. Had Spence Shader not missed those field goals in the first half or USF had actually scored a TD on those drives, Cincinnati may not have had the option of running Warren II the way they did.

Mike Hampton dropping a sure pick 6 and Shader missing the field goal with under 2 minutes left were the killers. The Bulls play hard but find ways to lose.

UC needs to get a handle on the penalties, though they had considerably fewer last night. 2 delay-of-game penalties in a row to start a drive? I know the ball was on their own 10 at the time, but I can never understand that.

The UC Alumni tailgate was near where we tailgate on the south side of the stadium. A group was coming out to hit up some swag in the Bulls Zone in the Raymond James pavilion. I told them if they got hungry I had some goetta and a big pot of Dixie Chili. We won the tailgate. :)

Those are fake UC fans, real born Buckeyes don’t eat Dixie Chili. ?

It's not very good, but it was the best I could do. Here is the field goal hitting Mike in the face.

Bearcat fans have been preaching this all season.

O-line (Metz in particular) is good for 2 or 3 false starts a game and the DB's are usually good for a few holds, even though I thought they were decent against USF.

I did think the call on Deguara on the long Doaks run late in the game that would have given UC a 1st and goal inside the 5 was garbage.

UC has some things to clean up, for sure, but keep finding ways to win. Will need to play better these final 2-3 weeks.
