Minnesota 31 Penn State 26

I think he meant the rah-rah, gimmicky slogans thing might not work at Florida State or USC.

It may or may not work. Chances are it probably would work early on. Both program need a spark, and things like that could help.

Ha well obviously he will have to change his motto.

Row the boat follows PJ. If he did go somewhere, Row the Boat is coming with him. I just don’t think you could sell it to those fans. I don’t think he would be able to connect with the fans with the gimmicks and mottos like he’s doing at Minnesota. He fits the culture of the Midwest.

The demographics and culture of those 2 fanbases are just completely different than what Fleck is used to. As much as Minnesota rallies behind Row The Boat, I think LA and Tallahassee would kind of scoff at it.

Gimmicks or mottos work everywhere as long as you win. If he goes to one of those schools and they win at a high level, those mottos would become house hold names across the nation. Now if he uses those and he doesn't win, yes those fan bases will eat him up lol.

I would say the fan bases at Bowling Green and Utah was a lot different to than Florida and OSU. Which it seemed like it worked out ok for Urban Meyer still. Were acting like coaches are stupid and wouldn't adjust to his environment lol if he is a great coach he will win there, if not he won't. No coach or person really knows until they do it. There has been plenty of coaches that people probably would do well, but then fail at the biggest stage.

Urban’s coaching style works everywhere though. PJ and Urban are totally different coaches. I think PJ is a fine coach and I’m not saying he couldn’t adapt to Tallahassee or LA, but it would be a dramatic shift in the type of coach he is now.

Minny has a path to the Rose Bowl, that’s insane.
