Featured Replies

Final the Bengals fall to 0-8. After a bye week will take on the Ravens Nov. 10 at home.

After looking at the stats it’s hard to believe the Bengals lost by two scores.

The Bengals had 5 more first downs than the Rams (24-19). The Bengals had 401 total yards to the Rams 470. They also had the ball for over 5 more minutes than the Rams. Finally the Bengals ran 21 more plays from scrimmage than the Rams (78-57) and still lost by 14.

Dalton took a sack today that took them out of field goal range. Dalton also decided to catch a pass that was tipped that led to a 5 yard lost that took them out of field goal range. Then he also took a sack on their first drive that helped lead to only a field goal. While I know that is not his fault that the line sucks. A 9 year veteran also should know to at worst throw it away and not take a sack in those situations. That helped make it a 14 point difference still.

Watching Pats-Browns, Chubb will run for 300 yds against us if they want him to.

Don't kid yourself...that homeless guy living under the overpass could run for 300 yards against us if they want him to. Our linebackers stink.

No pocket presence at all, coaches brag on his decision making all the time but I just don’t see it, let’s remember this is the guy that has thrown the ball away TWICE on 4th down on our last poss at the end of a game, TWICE!,,

Pats are best screen team in NFL because Brady does such a good job of looking the def off opposite the screen, Andy stares at everyone single one of them.

I am still at a lost for words the two times he did that. I still don't understand it. It is 4th and game and he threw the ball away twice in the same season. It made no sense.

I found a positive in all of this. I believe Zac Taylor has 50 times better timeout management than Marvin Lewis ever had. But, alas, it didn't make a difference.

You’re right but it wouldn’t have taken much to have better clock management than Marv.

Yep, watched both games, was so stunned the first time I thought I had lost a down somewhere!! When he did it the second time I fell out of my recliner. I think Andy knows his time in Cincy is nearing the end.

I know it is crazy to say with them being winless. However there is a lot of things I have liked with Zac Taylor. I still think he will be a good one. My biggest complaint probably is more with him as a play caller than as a head coach. I think he has not done a great job adjusting his system to fit the personnel here. He wanted to implement the same system the Rams had, with 11 personnel. However, that is probably not the best for the Bengals with their current roster. The line was bad last year, was, but was able to still run block well enough for Mixon to lead the AFC. So his scheme hasn't really worked here so far. I could be wrong but it looked like they used more 2 Te sets today, and I don't think it a coincidence the running game got going a little today and the overall offense had one of its highest yardage totals for th year.

So as a head coach I think he has a good plan in place on how to build a culture and I think they play hard for him. I just hope he improves as a play caller or maybe allows someone else to call the plays.

If they did, it wasn't in the conventional sense, as it seemed like Eifert was split out a lot today. In fact, Eifert was targeted so much today that I almost wonder if it was a showcase for a possible trade. (Heck of a change from last week.)

As to your comment on Taylor's adjusting (or lackthereof) to his personel...for once we agree. I just don't know how you expect to win with your QB throwing the ball 52 times! Heck, they just showed a stat for Rodgers that in his last TWO games, he's thrown it a combined 64 times. I know having AJ has really, really, really hurt...not just in the passing game, but also in the running game (since safeties aren't worried about anybody getting behind them). So, I'm willing to give him a pass right now. But, it'll be interesting to see what this offense can do...if nobody is traded...once we are actually back to full strength.
