Beechwood 38 Newport 0

Final! Beechwood clinches #1 seed for the playoffs.

Final per the update thread.

Beechwood rounding into form. Newport as expected not able to compete with them. Good luck both teams in the playoffs! Hopefully Newport gets another crack at them.

Strength of schedules pays off in the end people. Beechwoods was been brutal before district play started. Paying off know. Newport’s schedule was not. Don’t let the 4 losses fool ya, BW is pretty solid right now.

I think the best change Coach Rash has made is getting some of the young players (Freshman and Sophomores) playing time. They have 7 Freshman and Sophomores who now start on either side of the ball. It’s helped keep the Seniors rested not playing both ways and some of them are better than the Juniors and Seniors. I have been impressed how much their Starting lineup has changed and how much better they are for it.

Can’t wait to see the Sophomores & Freshman, as Juniors and Seniors. They are getting quality time now, so this will lead to a very strong next couple of years. Very impressed with the district play by the tigers. Good luck to both teams the rest of the season! Go Tigers!
