Owensboro WAY too talented in this one!

The only question is which quarter the running clock starts?

 

I'll say the end of the 2nd quarter.

Owensboro will win out and this one will not be close.

I'm guessing Owensboro isn't happy only scoring 27 and looking like a team off a bye week the week before - sloppy in 1st half. I think they will come with full intensity. Owensboro has been remarkable considering they've been without All-State LB Gough and the best athlete since Justin Miller, in Monte Owsley. I can only imagine how good they would be if those 2 were here the entire time. Hopefully, they will get back Ethan Avery, starting RB, who has missed the last couple of games.

Austin Gough, headhunter, first team all state LB as a sophomore is BACK!!!!!

 

Homers Radio also indicates Monte Owsley has been looking good in drills and may be back. He is an EKU signee and is the best athlete on the Red Devil sideline in close to 20 years, going back to all-everything Justin Miller who starred at Clemson and won NFL’s fastest man at the pro-bowl!

 

Owsley last year:

 

67 carries for 712 yards and 10 TD’s

52 receptions for 1066 and 11 TD’s

 

Gough had 132 tackles visited UK a couple weeks ago as a high school junior.

 

Against Bowling Green in playoffs:

 

Owsley 160 yards and 2 TD’s and 34 yards rushing.

 

Gough had 13 tackles, 4 for loss and 2 TD’s.

 

This is GREAT news for an already solid team missing its best offensive and defensive player all year.

The field goal came after a turnover deep in Owensboro territory. Grayson has a great kicker, but has not moved the ball at all.
