June 21, 20197 yr The knock for me on the NBA draft is all the trades. It gets tough trying to track everything and it is hard to see what the teams are trying to do. It is a challenge. There are so many teams drafting players on behalf of other teams and team's getting the picks can't acknowledge the picks they received. It is confusing. I think it is time they do away with handing out the hats. I know we knock the length of time between NFL picks, but the NBA draft has the reverse problem. The picks come in too quick. I was caught up watching these emotional exchanges and all of a sudden Adam Silver is back up to the podium and you feel shorted. Maybe extend it out an additional five minutes per pick in the first round, or at least through the lottery.
