BGP QOTD: How many times/how often do you call 911?

Featured Replies

I called once, about 2 and a half years ago, when my 4 year old and I were hit head on while on Independence Station Rd. Our car came to rest in the ditch, which is usually a creek. Thankfully it was September, and it was pretty dry.

Very grateful that everyone, including the driver of the other vehicle, was okay.

Once.

A coworker got his hand caught in a piece of equipment and lost his fingers.

Three times, I think. Twice to report drunk drivers and once to report a nasty domestic dispute.

One time driving home from UC after a late night of school work probably about 3 am. I was just past Christ Hospital and a messed up lady jumped in front of my car and said help me, they’re after me! Let me in your car! I did not let her in but called 911. When I told her I was calling 911 for her she wasn’t interested anymore and walked away.

A few times to report reckless drivers that were "all over the road", once to report a fire and a few times to report theft from or vandalism of vehicles.

Mainly used the non-emergency number for work related needs, however one city in particular wanted us to use 911...so probably well over 100 times just for those calls.

3 times, I think. I managed an elderly apartment complex, and dealt with a few bad falls.
