No, not AD. He is the one giving up $4 million. I want to know what LeBron is giving up.

 

I don't think the collective bargaining agreement allows players to just give money back in the middle of a contract.

I would think you could renegotiate your contract anytime you want as long as both parties agree, but I don't know.

You can maybe, but the CBA and players union will not allow you to give up money. I think in the NBA even if you negotiate a new deal, it can only take effect after current one is over.

 

Players union won't allow it because it would set a horrible precedent...giving money back.
