St. Xavier 8 Trinity 2

Featured Replies

Game was suspended in top of 6th due to storm with Tigers up 5-2. Tigers scored 3 more when play resumed. Beau Coffman got the win pitching 5 scoreless innings. Ryan Nicholson hit a HR for the Tigers. Several college coaches were in attendance. I saw UofL, Cincinnati, and Middle Tennessee coaches. I look for these two to meet again in 7th region tourney.

How was the atmosphere? I bet it was pretty awesome with it being at St. X instead of the typical Slugger Field.

Was packed house until rain hit.

That’s awesome! While it’s a very neat experience to play in a college or professional stadium, there’s something special about playing your rival in a jammed packed stadium.

Do these two ever play at UofL? Seems like a much better venue than Slugger and I don't think it'd be too big either.

Dan McDonnell was at game so he could have watched it at UofL. Not sure if they have played there before.

They have played at U of L ever other year - when Trinity is home team - for a few years now.
