Alan Mullins is a very, very good coach! Having him on the sidelines is a positive for the program.

We'll see.

Not having Niemi on the sidelines will not be a problem - in fact, it may help.

My bad, I bow to your expert opinion.

Not a fan of Mr. Mullins?

It's not that. The chain of events this summer didn't help the Raiders in the coaching department though.

I don't claim to be an expert, but thanks for the compliment anyway. :thumb:

There have been problems in Union from the 1st day Niemi took over. It was time for both Ryle and Nate to move on. A school like Ryle has loads of talent walking around in the halls - hopefully they'll be able to get (and keep) that talent on the basketball floor under Coach Mullins.

Maybe to you, but not college coaches who were watching him play all summer.:thumb:

Summer ball and regular season games are as different as night and day.

I don't know much on how this specific situation played out, but in my opinion, while I agree that usually the outcome of the game will be different due to players missing, more disciplined game style, ect, I think that you can get just as good of an idea about an individual player from a summer game as you can from a regular season game.

IMO the top 25 teams are very, very accurate.

As for the players, Mackey and Knowles should be ranked better, and Austin Hill should be in the top 15, at least. Also I don't know if Eugene Wade belongs on the list.

Can someone post the top 25 teams and players in the state or is there a link??

Thanks.

Never mind I found them.

I Can't believe Landon Slone-Paintsville isn't in the top 25 he should definitly be in it, probabily top 12 as well as Jarell Mayo-Russellville. How in the world is Clark Stepp in these ratings and he got 2 first place votes whats up with that:confused: Thats just unbelievable, he definitley dosen't belong on this list. Scotty Hopson should be top 3. Also i'm not sure who Terry Walker from Ft. Knox is.

Other Notables missing from the list:

Luc Graves-AC Scottsville

Duran Jefferson-Holmes

Keith Price-Casey County

Dakota Euton-Rose Hill

Drew McDavid-Ashland

Darrin Ballou-Adair Co.

Etc.

I don't know if McDavid belongs on the list of top 25 players. DJ is probably on the bubble. And agreed, Euton should be there.

I would have to put Hazard above Perry Central in the 14th.

Daniels and McDavid are different type players. You guys are comparing apples and oranges. From a college stand point Daniels's size better fits his college position than McDavid's.

You may be right about McDavid, but he should be in there before some players that are listed thats why I had to throw his name out there. He's definitly better than Clark Stepp and some others. I'm not putting the kid down because he plays hard but it really just blows my mind that he is on the list over players like Slone, Mayo, Jefferson, Euton, Price, Graves, Ballou, among others. Thats just crazy...IMO.

My opinion on these ratings:

In the 14th region Kenny Brandenberg got jipped in these ratings, he's the best player in the 14th and they have him at #7.

Also in the 4th region there is no way that their are 9 better players in the region than Jarrell Mayo of Russellville. I'm not sure there 9 players better than him in the state..JMO

In the 15th I'm not sure i'd put Vanhoose over McCarty. but thats the only complaint I have there.

In the 11th Lee of Scott County should be in there somewhere.

I guess thats about all the complaints I have.

Are You serious ? Best player in the 14th region ? He is not even the best player @ his position in the 14th...

I am not trying to take nothing away from Mcdavid, he is a good player and plays as hard as anyone is the region. I am saying, though, that Daniels is as good, if not better than Mcdavid. Daniels will play D-1 basketball and Mcdavid will not.
