January 30, 200719 yr Thanks I wasn't aware. The point was that he could do the same thing Nash is doing in Phoenix. You clearly said that triple double = Points/Rebounds/Assists. You also said Kidd would average a triple double. I never caught where you said he would do what Nash is doing. In fact you made it seem like he would do better. I would argue that Nash is in the perfect situation, but that he's also the perfect player for that situation. I'm sure there are some other pg's that would put up good numbers, but I don't think Kidd or anyone else would match his numbers right now.

I follow the NBA, but I usually only comment if something peeks my interest. Saying Jason Kidd would average a triple double at this point in his career peeked it.

I just don't see it and I don't think its because I have Kobe blinders on. If he really hit in why wouldn't he be suspended more games???? There was nothing made out of this until now so apparently no one really thought about it to much.

You can say you follow the NBA, but you must not watch the Suns very much. A week ago you said Dallas was clearly better than them, and now you're saying that Andre Miller and Deron Williams would duplicate what Nash is doing. Nash is fortunate to have athletes around him. He creates his own numbers though. He makes passes that others don't even attempt. He sees the floor better than anyone right now. Plus if you leave him open he will just hit jumper after jumper. I could live w/ the logic that maybe he shouldn't have won the last 2 MVP's, but he's playing very much like an MVP this year. Nobody else on your list is MVP worthy w/ their own teams or anyone else's.

He can barely be considered good. He's decent. With the exception of Williams you named a bunch of guys that cant shoot from the perimeter, one of Nash's big weapons. Defenders sag on all of those guys except Williams and some nights Kidd. Williams has had his good half of a season and now he is on the level of an MvP? Miller is solid, but cant push the pace like Nash. Paul can push it, but lacks the outside threat that definitely helps his effectiveness. Kidd would be close to being as effective. He wouldnt get the triple double you suggested though. I think something Nash has figured out, is that basketball is not all about straight lines as many believe. We make V-cuts to get open, drive straight to the basket, etc. Nash plays the game in curves and circles. It's tough to guard when all you are used to is straight ahead. He is in a good system yes, but the system would not flourish without him. Marcus Banks and Barbosa havent run it nearly as well. It's Nash, when he is out of the game its not the same. Watch a Suns game. You will say you have, but WATCH it. He's the best.
