Getslow Posted January 3, 2019 Posted January 3, 2019 Louisville football coach Scott Satterfield is about to add two more new assistants to his ranks. Not official yet, but being reported everywhere. Cort Dennison is returning from Oregon to be co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach. Stephen Field was Oregon's recruiting coordinator last season. Both men were previously at UofL under Petrino... and despite that I'm actually excited to see them. They were very good at their jobs while they were here and once they left it became abundantly clear exactly how much of the recruiting work they were doing. It's early and nothing is ever certain, but I like the staff he's putting together. Dwayne Ledford left NC State to come direct the offense. His offensive lines for the Wolfpack were outstanding. Multiple all-ACC players under his tutelage. The other co-DC will be Bryan Brown, who was with Satterfield at App State, both as DC and cornerbacks coach.
Getslow Posted January 3, 2019 Author Posted January 3, 2019 Dennison and Field coming into the fold will be an instant boon to recruiting. Long-standing ties both locally and in the region.
TheDeuce Posted January 3, 2019 Posted January 3, 2019 This is a better staff than what Brohm would have assembled. I like it!
00Rocket28 Posted January 3, 2019 Posted January 3, 2019 I believe I saw something where Oregon just landed there first ever top 5 recruiting class.
Tigerpride94 Posted January 5, 2019 Posted January 5, 2019 Looks like great staff. I see them getting the program turned around in 2 years. The current players are young so they will be Sr’s and JR’s in 2 years plus add in recruits this staff will bring in. With as bad as last season was, can only go up.
