mcpapa Posted December 25, 2018 Posted December 25, 2018 I’m glued to the television. I’m in a state of absolute awe as I watch the tour-de-force that is Randy Parker. The pathos as he grieves under the sink for his older brother’s impending doom. His unbounded joy as he spots Mickey and Santa in the parade. Oozing claustrophobia as he dons his winter coat and muffler. I could go on and on. How the guy didn’t receive an Academy Award and a star on the walk of fame is arguably the most egregious cinematic injustice of the ages.
mcpapa Posted December 25, 2018 Author Posted December 25, 2018 As the little guy is pushed down into the snow and couldn't get up, I couldn't be anything but awestruck as he acted out the metaphor of the struggle of the younger child in a world of older significant others. Powerful stuff. I wept openly.
Jaysie Posted December 26, 2018 Posted December 26, 2018 Shocked, shocked I say. I had never heard that word before. Not in public, at least.
