November 7, 200619 yr Author Seriously The one possible exception is Isiah Thomas. ....which would only support our argument.
November 7, 200619 yr If you only watched the playoffs last year then you would think Wade is better than Iverson. Iverson's best 2 years have been his last two. He hasn't slipped. We are talking about one year, and Iverson so far this year has been sick. Webber came to the Sixers. FA doesn't happen in the NBA like it does in the NFL and MLB. Most guys sign, or sign and trade. The GM in Philly hasn't done his job.
November 7, 200619 yr You're comment is laughable...In no way would I take T-Mac over AI, have you watched McGrady the last couple of years, if you said yes then you're crazy, and if you said no that's because he hasn't played much because of constant back problems! Wouldn't take Pierce over AI, nor Artest because AI is just as much as a defensive threat and has more scoring ability. Ray Allen is losing the 3 point touch. What's laughable is that most of these guys are just added on to others mentioned. So you name one player and say what I said is laughable. I'm quite sure I would take a 6'8" SG-PF who is under 30 with a history of injury ow/ McGrady's ability ahead od AI for this year. I said Ray Allen was a possibility. He's shooting over 34% this year on 3's.
November 7, 200619 yr Seriously I can't take another NBA opinion of your seriously if you take a 30 something year old PG 5th out of every player in the NBA. Wade is 100 times better right now and would picked by every GM in this hypothetical situation ahead of AI. I seriously think not one GM in the NBA would take AI in the top 15. I can name at least 8 players who play the 4 or 5 that they would take ahead of him or get fired. The one possible exception is Isiah Thomas. Jorden was better at 30 than at 25.......

The GM in Philly hasn't done his job. No one wants to play with AI. Weber came in a trade if I remember correctly and desperately wanted out of Sacramento. I'd say he hasn't been enthused about having AI as a running (or should I say "gunning") mate. If you are trying to tell us that you'd take AI or DWade today, you're in a small boat by yourself.

He has been the best player over the last 3 years in the NBA. The only person w/ a higher ceiling right now is LBJ. That's where the list ends of possible players you take before Wade for this year. Have you watched Dwight Howard?

November 7, 200619 yr I'd be willing to test my NBA knowledge against yours. Maybe I'm not the biggest NBA fan in the world, but I'm telling you that Isaiah Thomas, you, and AI's mother might be the only people in the country that would take him 5th if you could have any player in the NBA for this year.
November 7, 200619 yr Relevance? Every GM (ecxept maybe 1) would take him before AI if they got to pick one or the other for this year.

Ever heard a reporter ask Shaq who the best player in the league is?
