8th Grade Large Format

Twenhofel vs TurkeyFoot

Twenhofel has some good football players.

Twenhofel has some good football players.

They (8th) have really good QB in #20 Chase Crone and some decent size on the line to block for him.

Crone is a stud. He will do big things at SK.

Twenhofel beat CovCath in the 7th grade championship 19 to 6.

So am I correct that Northern Kentucky has their own middle school league and tournament and they do not participate in the KMSAA league and tournament?

Congrats to both teams on a great season. Someone told me this is Turkeyfoot's first championship since 2005.

This is the first time since 2008 a Kenton County Schools team other than Woodland (who won in '13,'15 and '17) has won.

TF was a very physical team and it doesn't surprise me that they won.

I was impressed with the size of a lot of the Twenhofel kids. If they all go to SK, SK football should be OK for a few years to come.

What is coming from 8th, 7th and 6th from Twenhofel and Summit View is alot of talent.

Should be a very good freshman class for SK. Probably the best combined Twenhofel/SVA class in quite a few years.

So is Summit View Academy a feeder strictly for Simon Kenton now? I just remember before the "academy" days during my son's playing days there were some kids from Summit View Middle that ended up playing at Dixie. (I do realize Kenton County is an open enrollment system and the kids can go to any of the three high schools as long as there's a spot.)
