Tigerpride94 Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 Daviess County (4-3) travels to Henderson County (5-3). Who wins out of these winning teams?
Purple88 Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 This is a Big Game for these 2! Whoever wins all but nails down the #2 spot in the district and hosts a playoff game. BUT the winner also will likely get an all expense paid trip to Trinity in Week 2. While the loser, will get to avoid that fate until week 3! Hey it's another week of football!

Guess whichever teams puts the JV team out there, wants to avoid Trinity. Lol

zoneblitz2 Posted October 10, 2018 Posted October 10, 2018 @Purple88- Who all is in the Louisville District that crosses with this district this year? This could be a good one. Probably will come down to who can limit whose best player. Can Daviess County slow down Patterson or can Henderson limit Tinsley? I hear Daviess County is a little banged up and might not be at full strength, so that will hurt them.

I hear Daviess County is a little banged up and might not be at full strength, so that will hurt them. ZB, I know Trinity will be the 1 seed and likely Ballard at 2 and Eastern at 3 I believe. With maybe Senaca at the lowly 4 seed? Can't remember if there is another in that district. Good questions! I haven't been impressed with Daviess County's defense this year, so I'm thinking they can't stop Patterson. After seeing McCracken put up 36 points last week without a player in Tinsley's caliber then I don't see Henderson stopping him either. SO what do I expect? The unexpected. I think injuries are likely more prevalent for both than I know. I think I will go with Henderson in a close contest (as they are at home and Patterson already has the ball in his hands every play, plus those DC injuries you reported), but it could easily go the other way.
Purple88 Posted October 10, 2018 Posted October 10, 2018 Should be Trinity, Ballard, Jeffersontown, and Eastern. I forgot Jtown! How could I do that? They are having a decent season this year!
zoneblitz2 Posted October 10, 2018 Posted October 10, 2018 So do either one of these teams have a chance to beat who will be #2 in that district? If so, might be worth being the #3 seed and taking your chances on the road Week 1 and hoping for a rematch with McCracken in 2nd round. But then again you are just delaying the inevitable matchup with Trinity!

But then again you are just delaying the inevitable matchup with Trinity! So the West #2 Seed will play at home vs (lets say) Jeffersontown. I think that is a very winnable game for either Daviess or Henderson. In fact playing at home, I would say they would be favored in that game. Then the #3 West Seed would have to travel to NE Louisville to take on a very decent Ballard team. Ballard has had significant injuries. Their top QB got injured the first play of the Manual game and not sure he returned. They were up in that game but ultimately lost on a botched XP in OT. So I could see either Daviess or Henderson traveling to Route 22 and competing well in this game, but winning it is another thing. Ballard has at least 1 Huge WR that they basically just throw the ball up to and more times than not he comes down with it. I don't think either West team would be favored in this game, but I still think they have a chance. Thing is - Week 2 of the Playoffs they would have a chance again even on the road at McCracken!

NLTanker1 Posted October 10, 2018 Posted October 10, 2018 I think Ballard will be #2 and it depends on which Ballard team shows up. Ballard would probably be favored though. Ballard already beat Eastern and Seneca , and play Jtown this week. They will be 3-0 in district play when they face T on the 19th. I picked HC to win this week based on playing at home and point differential between the two vs. McCracken Co. They both lost by 12, but DC gave up 55 pts compared to HC giving up 36. HC- 42 DC- 31
74devil Posted October 11, 2018 Posted October 11, 2018 Owens Aleaga had what seemed to be a career night at QB in the game this past Friday. Don't know what's going on with their starter, but regardless of his numbers, if he was as good as Cambron, he'd be the starter. Don't know how far Daviess can go without him at the helm. :arghh: I don't think they'll beat Henderson and that's not good because they need this win to secure a first round home game. IMO, if Cambron isn't under center, they may as well get ready to take their show on the road for the first round.:sorry:
