gchs_uk9 Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 In what should be one of the best games in 3A this weekend, Caldwell travels to Tilghman with the winner getting a jump start on the district crown. Caldwell has won three in a row over Tilghman, but it was close last year and Tilghman is the home team on Friday. How does this one end up?
Purple88 Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 I'll take Tilghman 42-21. That seems like a pretty bold score TP! I like that, but know Caldwell is pretty good too!
Squirrel Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 Never know which Caldwell team is going to show up but give me the Tigers in close one 28-27
Squirrel Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 Are both of the Riley boys healthy and playing for Caldwell?
Purple88 Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 Are both of the Riley boys healthy and playing for Caldwell? They both showed up in the box score last week Squirrel, but that doesn't tell you how long they played in the game. That is a big question though. I am stumped on who to pick in this game. Want to think on it some more.

Have been for the past few years even though they have had good teams. Paducah Tilghman is definitely the hot pick. Western Kentucky high school football is just better and more interesting when PT is good. I think they have turned alot of heads because they are off to a good start for the first time in several years. In my mind I'm still not a believer and think they are maybe a little overhyped. I'm going off of nothing with that thought though. The Tilghman game was the only Mayfield game I have missed this year. Wish I could have seen it so I would have a better idea of who PT really is

Wish I could have seen it so I would have a better idea of who PT really is That probably wouldn't be the best way to get an idea about Tilghman. The Mayfield loss was the best thing that could have happened to Tilghman. There weren't a lot of holes to fix then, but what Tilghman did lack in, Mayfield exposed. Lots of kids playing different positions and a partially new system just aided in the troubles that night. The very next morning until this day, they have worked tirelessly to correct those mistakes and it has shown so far. This team got much better in a hurry. The JV qb thrown into the fire in the Mayfield game for his first start has made big strides running the offense since the deer in the headlights look is gone. I know a lot of people aren't sold on them yet, and I totally get that. Friday night should help in deciding what people think.
truebluefan89 Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 A couple of different factors coming in to play on this one: 1) A possibility of rain Friday could slow the field down 2) Injuries- are both going to be at full strength? PT has been playing very good as well as Caldwell as of late. Caldwells passing game could give the PT defense a test, but a wet field could dramatically reel that in. Can Caldwell stop the run, PT can come at you with 6 or so different backs, and their passing game is taking baby steps at improvement. Will everyone be healthy on both sides? I guess we will see Friday. PT 28 Caldwell 21
charlesw88 Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 Paducah Tilghman at home. Yeah, I'll take them by 2-3 scores.
