My memory is that Covington Catholic doesn't have big defensive linemen, and Mayer is actually bigger than most. I went back and checked last year's two deep roster:

If this year's D line is smaller and Mayer is at linebacker, is there any D lineman over 6' 210?

When has Cov Cath had a 6 3 d line. Mayer was the only one over 200 last year and he weighed 210.

Kings Oline took a step back this year in my opinion.
