Who wins this matchup? Taylor County comes in 2-0 while Campbellsville comes in 1-1 after a loss to Casey County last week?

Huge rivalry game and both teams are the both very good for the first time in awhile. Campbellsville lost 50-40 last week to a top ten 3A team in Casey County. They have a really good sophomore QB in Arren Hash, as well as a couple electric receivers in Malachi Corley and DeaSean Vancleave. Taylor Co. has some very good athletes as well on offense in Tre Goodin, and Dejon Irvin. Also lineman Logan Parker is a force to be reckoned with.

Word around County is Campbellsville doesn’t have enough to hang around #7 in Class 4A Taylor Co... City can’t match the size of 2-0 Taylor Co... First challenge of any kind for Taylor Co. If they are a top the 4a team, they made a mistake scheduling hart and Adair to open the season (still have Barren County later in the year)

AP and it’s warranted IMO. Y’all can make of the rankings what you want, but like I stated earlier in regards to 3A- you have a handful that are legit contenders. The next 12-15 in the big picture aren’t that far apart. Give or take here or there.

These games are scheduled a year or two in advance. Adair County was just coming off the 3 best years in their programs history- winning playoff games in each of those three years.

I was just asking because I pay no attention/haven’t seen any others. But this should be the best team they’ve played so far anything below 10 is just about a toss up.

I think everyone in the area knew adair’s Talent had run out and they were looking at some lean times. I was advocating for Green Co to get them back on the schedule for that very reason.

 

You are right, they are a local rival. It’s not as much that game I have a problem with as it is hart co and barren co. They get nothing out of those games and imo they needed to challenge themselves to be ready for the playoffs.

Plus, they're 20 miles apart. It's local high school football. Play your local rivals for bragging rights, geez.
