August 24, 20188 yr They're now the Villa Vikings. It came with a renaming of their school gymnasium to "Villhalla". They're switching from the unpopular "Blue Lightning", which they took on in 2001 after having been the Vipers for about a decade. Their first mascot was the Vixens, which originated while the high school was an all-girl school. They apparently had several years in the more distant past where their grade school teams competed as the Vikings.
