Well them there mud diving Yellow Jackets get their wish and a rematch with Ol' Bubba's favorite Coach J.B. Donahue next week in the first round of the playoffs. Them there Dragons whipped the Jackets purty good in the regular season. Coach Herron...Flounder to his friends.... said he was a looking forward to getting another shot at them fire breathin Dragons. With the emergence of Jeffries catching them darts from Tommy Frazier and the fact that Hamblin will be at full strength this go around, them Jackets should be able to score on the Green and White Dragons. Now comes the big question can they save enough energy to stop Harlan. Coach Herron said the spread offense was hard on his youngins and it showed on the defensive side of the ball. They way them Jackets fly around the field on offense is enough to make a feller dizzy. I know this from personal experience...a Mad Yellow Jacket is a tough customer..why just last week I was a mowing my yard on my riding mower with the two cup holders. I ran through some old apples in the backyard and three angry Jackets attacked Ol' Bubba....well I was a swarping and a jumping around trying to get those dudes off of me. Finally Sweetness came to my rescue and started a smacking me in the head and shoulders to get them off of her " Man of Love"....so ol J.B. better have them rowdy reptiles fired up and breathing flames next week...or them Jackets will swarm him like they did Bubba.

Hamblin and Moses both played limited snaps and hurt at Harlan...Jeffries is healthy now so look for this rematch to be closer...Not saying the Jackets will win, but this game could go down to the wire...

Won't predict a score or a winner on this one. I think it will be a tough, hard fought game by two classy teams. Harlan almost pulled it off against Somereset and having beat the Jackets earlier will give them a confidence edge. This group of Jackets may have found themselves after the Harlan loss. I hope the game lives up to the hype in my mind (lol...what little mind I have left anyway) and both teams are injury free. As much as I hate the drive to Harlan, I will say we have been treated well by their fans and I can't wait for this trip or game!

The extended weather forecast is calling for showers on Tues & Weds of next week so maybe this game won't be played in the slop. The Harlan field does not hold up well this time of year, it could be a mud bowl like the Williamsburg game 2 years ago.
