The upper field is turfed, end to end, complete with LED lights. The varsity teams play their games on the lower field and the freshman and JV teams play on the upper field.

Or there's the thing where there are no football lines on the baseball field. They have painted soccer lines on the baseball field. The turf baseball field...with lights...and bleachers. Not to mention moving football equipment (field goal posts, sleds, etc.) up a hill is very difficult to do. A turf field with lights...man soccer is so neglected.

I’m sure everyone appreciates the true unbridled sacrifice the football team would need to make in order to either cut practice early for one day, or god forbid practice at a different time since school isn’t even in session right now which gives them ANY other time of the day except when soccer needs the actual game field so they can hold a region wide event to help them raise money for a startup program in its early years.

 

Truly the football team is magnanimous in their generosity for allowing the soccer team to play games on their own field at any time.

No matter where you have the games the same people are going to show up regardless. One field has football lines and one doesn't. It makes sense on which one the football team should be able to use.

In this instance I believe it will suffer. I have no connection to either school that is playing the Friday night game but would very much like to attend since it will be a quality match. If the viewing area is the same as last years which was from the corner of the school to the left field foul line then I will save my money since you can't see a quarter of the field down the right foul line from the spectators area. I'm willing to guess I will not be the only that feels this way.

Probably because this is an actual game which requires officials. And last I checked I doubt any of them are using high school soccer as their full time job. So they have to have the games after people get off work during the week.

This is held at schools that have 1 field for football and soccer almost every year. This is the first time that a Friday night game couldn’t get a Varsity sized field. It is like Beechwood football taking part in a scrimmage at an NKY event held on CovCath’s baseball field do the soccer team can practice. Makes no sense

Correct, if they wanted to keep it small like a showcase, they could, BUT NKAC treats this as a money maker. Comparatively speaking, more people come to Soccerama than to any other soccer related event, outside of the Regional Final. The crowd is, hypothetically, supposed to be better.

 

Again, never been an issue at any other school that I know of.
