May 30, 20188 yr I was very skeptical when I heard this movie was being made. I must say that I was very pleasantly surprised by this movie today. Donald Glover is excellent as Lando and Alden Ehrenreich does a fine job as Han Solo. The story is smooth and not as choppy as Rogue One. All of the casting including Paul Bettany and Woddy Harrelson were spot on. There is a cool scene late in the movie where a very popular character from the past pops up, but it is canon as far as the SW universe goes and it works instead of feeling forced. IMO this may be the best Star Wars Movie made since Disney took the reigns, that is something I never expected to type.
May 30, 20188 yr Was wanting to go see it with the family over the weekend, but the wife poo-poo'ed the idea, saying that the critics were just hating it. Guess I'll just have to see it without her, then. :lol2:
May 31, 20188 yr I really enjoyed it. Thought it was a fun movie with a solid story and lots of action. **Possible Spoiler** As for the cameo in the end, I had to research after the movie because I didn’t think the timeline made sense. But apparently it is canon if you watch the cartoons (which I haven’t been able to do).

Guess I'll just have to see it without her, then. :lol2: Over 70% on rotten tomatoes and nearly 8 out of 10 stars on IMDB. Several reviews I read were complimentary.
June 4, 20188 yr Saw it 6/3. Solid, good movie, kept my interest. Wished they had played the Solo character a little more "gritty" and "street". Not sure if that was the actor or the direction, but think it would have played better that way. Solid B, maybe B+.
