Avengers: Infinity War **SPOILERS**

Featured Replies

Since we've had several that have already seen the movie the past weekend, it seemed like Jumper Dad had a good suggestion of starting another thread to actually discuss the movie, without ruining it for those that haven't seen it as of yet.

***There will be spoilers, if you haven't seen the movie yet!****

You've been warned.

Through 3 Avengers movies, the one that I am constantly surprised comes out unscathed is Black Widow. Is she highly, highly trained? Sure. But she has nothing "extra special" (strength/stamina) like some of the others. She doesn't even have special weapons, does she?

I thought the pairings they did worked very well (Dr. Strange/Iron Man, Thor/Guardians). Lots of good back and forth. Humor, but seemed very natural for each character, so not out of place.

It, of course, leaves everything open for the next Avengers movie. We know Spiderman, Black Panther and Guardians all have movies in the works, so they aint staying dead.

Doctor Strange shines in this movie IMO. I thought he worked much better than in his own film.

Black Panther and Spider-Man going makes it incredibly clear the deaths won’t stick. With the guardians, I wouldn’t be shocked if Gamora stays gone. But I also expect her back.

My character by character thoughts

Ironman...was Ironman, nothing really new but I do like his paternal instincts concerning Peter.

Spiderman...I'm not a fan of the "Ironman" Spidey Suit, but I love this kid as Peter Parker.

Thor...was really good and turned in another great performance following up Ragnarok.

Captain America...really what's not to like about Cap, dude NEVER backs down.

Winter Soldier...good seeing him reappear and fight alongside the rest.

Black Widow...hmmm same old same old, nothing special really.

Dr. Strange...I liked him much more in this movie than in his own movie.

Blair Witch...crazy powerful, not sure why she didn't just kill Thanos. Evidently, there is no limit to her powers.

Falcon...got paid for being in the movie, but that's about it.

War Machine...needed some suit upgrades, lags way behind Ironman's Tech.

Vision...should be the most powerful Avenger, but gets weaker and weaker...kinda ticks me off.

Black Panther...cool as always, but was really not used much except for epic fight scene.

Hulk/Banner...get's his butt kicked early and is never the same, but I really liked Banner.

Starlord...he's half-celestial, but never uses those powers. Does he have them?

Gamora...awesome as always, I hated to see her go.

Groot...I am Groot, pretty much says it all

Rocket...I liked him more in this than in Guardians, he's a cool Rabbit!

Drax...Understated but still funny and fierce.

Loki...tried to redeem all his betrayals of Thor...I guess 007 is next for him.

Nick Fury...got the last word! :lol2:

Thanos...was a great villian, Brolin did an excellant job with the character.

Barton and Antman sit this one out and aren't seen in the movie.

Doctor Strange shines in this movie IMO. I thought he worked much better than in his own film.

I agree completely, especially with the bolded.

Any chance the ones that we think survived actually died and the ones that dissolved actually lived?

Kinda "Left Behind" scenario?

Had never even crossed my mind, but I guess anything is possible. However everyone seems to think that Fury actually paged (for lack of a better word) Captain Marvel there at the very end. So, if he actually survived...would she still get the message?

The message appread to go through to Captain Marvel, I'm sure we'll see her in the near future.

Didn't his powers vanish after they blew up his dad's planet? I thought that was one of the repercussions.

That could be right, it would make sense. I wasn't a huge fan of that movie and was just ready for it to be over :lol2:
