Loyola of Chicago 78 Kansas State 62

While Loyola’s run has been improbable, they were #28 in the RPI leading up to the tournament and just outside the top 25 in both polls. This is a high end mid-major. Not sure what it has to do with only allowing five teams per conference, but whatever. There is enough bad basketball in college already to allow second and third place teams from the MAAC into the tournament.

People talk about their FG% but how many lay ups do they get? They create the lay ups and can give clinics on reverse lay ups. They don’t “settle” for threes they attack then kick out. They work the clock. Bigger schools feel they’re better than short range jumpers and take deep threes. Go Ramblers.
