The system that looks to past through Kentucky tonight into Saturday evening. Accumulating snow will be possible across Northern and Northeastern Kentucky. The snow accumulations across the aforementioned areas look to total 8-10"

Cincinnati/NKY 8-10"

Maysville 8-10"

Ashland 6-8"

South of this area look for freezing rain accumulation totals that could cause major issues. A swath of accumulations totals of .24-.81"

I'm monitoring this situation and will post updates when possible.

This is from the GOES 16 Satellite. It clearly shows the weather system heading towards Kentucky.

From what I have seen on weather reports by the networks, the snow will begin maybe 8 am or at least by 10 am. in NKY. Will the snow be preceded by freezing rain in NKY? If so, when will the freezing rain hit NKY?

We appreciate your weather reports.

Sorry I didn't see your post until this morning.

This system is forecast to take a little more southerly track. Also, both the snow and freezing rain accumulations are down. First, let me say that there will be a short cutoff on both sides of this system on the snowfall accumulations. Some may not see any accumulations but just a few miles away others will.

New outlook

Cincinnati/NKY 3-5"

Georgetown, Williamstown, Dry Ridge 3-6"

Maysville 1-2"

Lexington 1-2"

Richmond dusting to maybe 1/2"

Winchester, Mt Sterling, Morehead, 2-4"

Paintsville, Prestonsburg 3-5"

Jackson, Pikeville 1-2"

One good thing that there is now the possibility of little or no freezing rain accumulations. A .10 of accumulation is possible though in the Georgetown, Williamstown, Dry Ridge area.

Have a blessed day and I will be back with updates when the information warrants it.

We are experiencing freezing rain at the moment in Richmond.

You are awesome, nWo. And I love the pretty pastel pictures.

Rain in Booneville. The cutoff line is a couple counties north of us.

Was hoping for some actual visual perspectives.

Report from Florence: the warm ground and pavement temps appear to have kept the accumulation down in Florence. Clear roads and I can still see grass sticking up through the snow.
