This is the only time I really get to know what kind of freshman team we have and who the top players are since I usually can't make it out to freshman games.

This game was played in an absolute MONSOON! Horrible Horrible weather, it would have been nice to see this game played in good conditions because both teams seemed pretty evenly matched. Ashland lost 4 fumbles and Russell blocked a punt which led to the games only score.

Ahhh...the ambience of hallowed Putnam Stadium...the water shooting up, out of the locker room drains as the floor becomes immersed by God only know what quality of water...the locker room entrance flooded to the point of being useless as a portal in or out. Yes, now I see why the Ashland faithful speak with such reverance of the place...

I can't honestly remember anyone from Ashland ever claiming that the locker rooms didn't need major improvements. I believe that's pretty much a given. It simply is one of the best places to play, and/or watch a football game. Your dislike of anything about Ashland has also been duly noted. There's no sense in continuing to convince people of that.

How in the world could they play the Kiwanis Bowl on Putnam Stadium field in those conditions but pulled the old unplayable for the varsity game in Week 3?

I can't answer that question. I'm sure you have access to Ashland's AD's phone number. Let us know what he tells you.

If Russell agreed to both I guess you would have to ask them.

This thread is going nowhere fast.

As expected..

Preach it.:thumb:

Good game by Will Rice with 104 yards rushing. Russell also had two bad snaps on punts that resulted in great field position for Ashland.

Russell's D (and the rain) also held Ashland to 88 total yards of offense.

That was a defensive game i do believe
