January 7, 20188 yr I have not watched Duke but a couple times, but looking at the numbers the defense has to be a huge concern. They are dead last in defensive efficiency in the ACC, have given up at least 89 points in each of their conference games, and are ranked 105 in KenPom’s adjusted defensive efficiency rating. I still like their chances. Too similar to last year for me to confident about their chances. Plus Grayson Allen has disappeared.

Recruiting rankings. UK fans are obsessed. Those rankings mean squat. Only one thing matters. Hoisting up the trophy in April. But for some reason UK fans love to dwell on rankings that have not and will not ever decide who wins the national championship.

I don't have any empirical evidence but I think Duke is better when Allen is their star. If he and Bagley can coordinate their games together, watch out.

If he and Bagley can coordinate their games together, watch out. I think it is more about Grayson and Duval coordinating their games together. Those two seem off.
