When they get Miles back I think WV is the best team in the 8th.

Miles is having surgery next week to repair torn labrum, will not return until senior year.

You might want to watch Collins play before you say that. They are playing at a high level right now.

You can't score if you don't get the touches. Had all his points in the first half, but never got the ball the second half. SK needs to pass the ball better.

As far as Kelch, you need to get touches to score. He had all his points in the first half and didn't get any touches in the second half. Guards need to learn to pass the ball better.

Thanks. I had not heard that. The region is wide open and WV could still win but missing Miles really hurts their chances.

I have not watched Collins but have noticed they have been playing well.

Some unfortunate news out of Walton-Verona: head coach Grant Brannen had told the Herald-Leader that star junior Dieonte Miles is done for the season after suffering a shoulder injury Saturday morning in practice.

sorry for the duplicate

How can the guards score if they pass the ball to the big? I have noticed multiple times the guards just stare at the big kid when he is posted. I really don’t blame the guards though, that’s 100% on the coaches. There are 4 or 5 sitting on the bench and none of them correct their guards. That tells me a few things.

1. Coaches don’t pay attention or

2. They don’t trust their big or

3 They want the guards to have the ball

Either way, if I have a d-1 big he is getting the ball

I am pretty sure I saw 3 consecutive possessions in the 3rd when the guards were attempting to feed the post but Clinkenbeard was able to get separation, 3/4 front Kelch, and steal or tip the pass away. It was not that the guards were not looking to Kelch, they needed to reverse the ball and let Kelch re-post and pass fake.

Clink did a good job guarding the post and the perimeter guards applied ball pressure. It's not a question of trust.

Or I guess you could be right, the coach's may not have been paying attention. Because you know that is what Varsity Coaches and assistants do during games, they don't pay attention to what is going on (To our more literal members, I say that with complete sarcasm).

Never ever question a coaches ability on BGP.
