The Browns need to fold as an organization

Featured Replies

I’m all in. Relegate the Browns and bring up the Toronto Argonauts.

That would be great!!! But I'd prefer the Saskatchewan Roughriders!

I feel the city of Cleveland needs to fold. There are only two good things ever to come out of Cleveland, Jerry Tarkanian and my labradoodle Spartacus!

Lebron!?!?

tark the shark is totally ignorant about the history of Cleveland sports. See his following comment. It doesn't matter that Lebron played for Cleveland most of his career and brought a championship to the city in 2016. At best, that is willful ignorance. I do like the BGP name and avatar, though.

Akron, Cleveland fans once chanted "Akron hates you".

Mistake on the Lake

You need new material. That dates back to like the 1970's.

Cardiac Kids....The Bernie Years....there have been some good eras in Cleveland but nothing but misery since the Browns came back to Cleveland.

There have been great eras in Cleveland sports history, especially in football, unequalled eras, in fact. And, yes, watching your team play its last game in its stadium and leave for another city is misery.

And why do non-fans get to vote on this?

Relax old grappler, I didn't mean to strike a nerve. I was having a little light humor.

If you want to play the karma card, they haven't made the playoffs since Tim Couch. The fans booed Couch when he got hurt, really??? Let the town burn along with the lake that catches fire!

Wait...were you at the Browns v Oilers game? I was there in the dog pound. We had planned to take my dad there for his 60th birthday well before the announcement the Browns were leaving......it was a horrible day.

Buddy of mine has season tickets. He refers to the stadium as “the factory of sadness”.

No, I watched it on TV. It was a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day.

I still remember Center Steve Everitt hanging out after the game greeting fans, along with all the players. He wore a Browns Bandana in his first game as a Baltimore Raven. This brought great respect from fans in Cleveland. This is what he said about it:

When I've signed footballs for Cleveland fans," he says, "God, I've written horrible things about the Modells. It takes me back and I can't help myself.

"There should be a bathroom book of all the things I've written on footballs for Browns fans. They still come up to me all these years later. I guess until a memory comes along to eclipse that one, they always will."

I do have a piece from a stadium seat from that day that was given to me as a Christmas present one year.
