Thought this one would be close - Mercer just never comfortable vs zone or with slow pace.

I'm not sure if Mercer is more worried about Trevon winning Mr. Basketball or winning games. Without Rode this should have been a win for mercer. LCA played team basketball, out coached and just outplayed mercer.

Maybe the other players need to step up. Trevon is doing his part it seems like. You can't win with one player scoring in double figures. His supporting cast needs to step their game up. Trevon will be the best player on the court whoever Mercer is playing on their schedule this year. I also think this is the worst Mercer team Trevon has played on since he's been at Mercer.

Didn't think Mercer looked good in warm ups. Seemed very lackadaisical didn't play with an edge. That was my first time seeing them so I don't want to make an total judgement anxious to see them today.

completely agree with the lack of energy - I saw them play West Friday night and it was a different team than yesterday (although Faulkner good in both).

 

They should handle Anderson Co. today, setting up a nice 12th R battle vs. Pulaski on Friday.

Faulkner had absolutely no help. The rest of the team scored 14 combined, that's all you need to know.

Yes. Great player great kid. Team is just bad will be tough to win awards on that team in my opinion.
