On a more cheerful note for their fans I’m hearing the Bobcats have a fantastic middle school team this year. So their future looks better.

Deven Stone put up 57 points for Wolfe county including 8, 3 pointers. 21-34 from the field.

If they were winning by such a lopsided score why leave a guy in a game to score 57 points??? Give the JV some varsity time.

New single game scoring record for Stone at Wolfe County. Congrats to him on the accomplishment. Very impressive if done so in 2.5 quarters.

I didn't think so either and I have been keeping up with them since 1968. Boy that team was fun to watch.

Did Lee County employ Bama's 3 man defensive strategy in this one? After all, they did outscore Minnesota once they went to 3 men.

Yes it was! The ‘68 team was a great team and indeed fun to watch. One missed free throw kept them out of the state championship game. And the guy who missed the free throw was an excellent free throw shooter, probably the best on the team.

They had a tall center that was pretty good, too, lol. Went on to play for UK.

He’s a shooter for sure. When he gets hot from deep he’s going roll up a lot of points in a hurry. 57 points in 20 minutes is a phenomenal performance.
