I think the Danville offensive line has been fine. Harris and VanCleave have ran wild in pretty much every game of the season.

Heard an interview today. LCA looking for revenge. Wheatley said they have a plan for Danville.

That’s perhaps been most evident over the last two weeks, when the Eagles have had to call upon sophomore quarterback Josh McClurg to man the offense after senior starter Logan Nieves tore an ACL in the first half against Leslie County in the first round of the playoffs.

 

“We lost an absolute warrior in Logan Nieves,” Thacker said. “I don’t know if I’ve ever coached anybody like him in terms of how hard he plays every play.”

I think it's airtight game. 27-21 Danville in a high drama game that comes down to the last possession.

I thought the same thing. Figured there would be much more back and forth over this game. LCA had a lot of momentum in the first game until the interception that led to a quick score for Danville to end the half. If they can find that rhythm again this game could be close. But I think Danville will be WOT right from the opening kick and win this one convincingly.

LCA has great coaches and tremendous players. Without question. However, this game plays into Danville's hands. Nieves is an incredible player and losing him will hurt on myriad levels. My concern for LCA is that it gets behind schedule and Danville continues to hit big plays. Can LCA trade punches?

Look for LCA to pound it with Wheatley to shorten the game and show more pressure to get Danville behind schedule as well.

BTW, I think LCA losing their big LT is a significant loss, too. I think the key matchup is the right side of LCA's line vs. Christian Hill. Whoever wins that battle will go a long way toward the outcome of this game.

Gonna be a war and I'm sure LCA will fight like crazy.

It’s a great rivalry that goes all the way down to the jr. high level. Regardless of who wins tonight, I will be cheering for that team to take state!
