South Oldham at CovCath Predictions

Featured Replies

I agree, it seems as though South Oldham is getting tougher than most people realize. Covington Catholic's offense has struggled to produce like their defense has this season. I know their runningback has been injured, which may be the cause. The only way South Oldham can win this game is by playing better defense than Cov. Cath. This should be a low scoring game, IMO, unless Cov. Cath. comes out with something more productive on offense than I have seen already this season.

Come on people. South Oldham's wins come against 5 teams with a combined 8-28 record; two of them are 0-7 and one is 1-6.

South Oldham, if anywhere near as good as they were last year, can still be dangerous if overlooked. They usually go for the "line up and pound the ball down your throat" approach. I know that they had good sucess against highlands last year but I'm not sure what the score between Cov Cath and them was.

So that means that you can't have a good grip on how good they are -- given. However, beating bad teams doesn't ensure that they aren't good, just that you aren't sure.

Maybe you're right, maybe losing to every good team you play and losing (at least for some point) your Free Safety, a CB / RB for a while, a RB / LB for a few games, and an OLB is the better way to go.

Again, I don't think CCH is going to lose this game, I just don't think this is a blowout situation. Rodenberg, during his tenure, has shown an ability to beat every team he should (and this is one) and no team he shouldn't. I'm sure the trend continues the next 3 weeks.

I agree. SO is playing for a home playoff game here. They will be fired up and give their best effort of the season. CovCath had better be ready to play.

The 0-7 Fort Knox team, who have been outscored 295-95, dropped 26 on the Dragons. If the team that played St.X (8th team in the nation at the time) to a 10-3 through 3 quarters, doesn't win by three TD's at home against this team, then they are in SERIOUS trouble.
