Just received a notification that this game will now be played on Nelson County's turf field on Friday at 7:30. Apparently BC's field got destroyed last week.

Are there any restrictions about where and when a team can move a playoff game? I understand the need to move the game due to field conditions, just curious how much leeway home teams have to pick time/locations for playoff games.

If you had seen the field last Friday, you would understand. When the BG-BC game ended, there was no way that field would be playable with more rain in the coming week. Solid decision by game management.

A messed up football field would work in favor for the dominant run heavy Dixie team.

B) Sites for Play

1) All playoff contests shall be played at sites that meet any adopted required field standards approved by the Board of Control.

 

10) The site of all games during the first four rounds in all classes shall be determined by the designated home team. The Board of Control may review and consider this provision for revision at any time during the alignment period.

I see on twitter Waggenner is asking for a helicopter to help dry their field off for tonites game.

I imagine most natural fields around the state will be a mess after tonight's games.
